We just confirmed a proper record release here in Austin at Emo’s with Seattle’s Throw Me The Statue on September 16th. TMTS are a pretty sweet band.

The Lovely Sparrows have been invited to play at Pop Montreal this October! That’s so freaking cool, right?!

We’ll be playing as part of the Rebel Group showcase at this year’s CMJ music festival. Details to come.

Hello Friends,
Been a while since I sent an update, but there’s big Lovely Sparrows news to report.
Yesterday SPIN.com debuted The Lovely Sparrows new music video on their BUZZCATCHER feature. You Ain’t No Picasso has also posted it today.
We’re all very proud of how the video turned out. Director/construction paper maestro Eric Power is one hell of an artist. I encourage you to check out more of his work here.
For those of you in the New York area, The Lovely Sparrows will be playing twice next weekend. On Friday, August 22nd at Pianos on the Lower East Side and on Saturday, August 23rd at Union Hall in Park Slope. Please see the flyer to the right, and let me know if you’d like to come out. (Billboard Magazine will be filming the Pianos show, for posting on their “Billboard Underground” web site feature.)
